or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred
Description: Performs packaging, manipulative, repetitive, or other
nondiscretionary tasks related to the furnishing of drugs. Assists
and works under the direct supervision and control of a pharmacist.
Fills and delivers unit dose cassettes from patient profiles to
nursing units. Essential Functions: Pulls medications from stock
and matches them with the corresponding label generated by the
pharmacist. Maintains floor stock by restocking, removing expired
medications, and rotating stock. Prices and stocks incoming
deliveries. Prepares IV medication products within the guidelines
of applicable laws and regulations. Checks in orders from
wholesalers and suppliers. Distributes stock appropriately and
files paperwork. Processes returns and back orders in a timely
manner. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Organizational Requirements: Commitment to the safety and
well-being of associates and patients. Compliance with vaccination
requirements as a condition of employment. Medical and religious
exemptions may apply. Participation in employment verification
processes required. Staffing: 3-4 technicians on 10-hour shifts.
Open 0600-2100 Monday to Friday and 0600-1800 Saturday to Sunday.
3-4 pharmacists on 8-hour shifts. Open 0600-2100 Monday to Friday
and 0600-1800 Saturday to Sunday. Weekend coverage may be required.
EMR System: Cerner Special Procedures Performed: IV Compounding
Scrubs: Provided for IV techs only. No color required for
pharmacists. Requirements Required for Onboarding BLS Pharmacology
