Registered Nurse (RN) | Operating Room Location: San Luis Obispo, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,692 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN - OR Circulator Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Circulator Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Shift - 5 x 8s Hours per Shift: Start times are 8:30 am, 10:00 am, and 12:00 noon. Monday to Friday. Experience: One year of full-time experience in the operating room is required. License: Current RN license in state of practice is required. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is preferred. Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR) is preferred. Description: Provides assistance to surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures. Coordinates the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff during operations. Ensures patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care. Participates in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment. Ensures competence to circulate in the operating room during surgical procedures. Applies the principles of aseptic technique consistently. Operates all equipment routinely used in the operating room safely. Prepares patients for surgery, including safe and appropriate anatomical positioning. Conducts pre, intra, and post-procedure patient care planning and assessment following established criteria. Handles and disposes of biohazardous materials from operative procedures safely. Accesses facility information systems to retrieve and utilize pertinent information for patient care. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to fulfill job-specific responsibilities related to patient safety and emergency preparedness. Documents tissue temperatures and package integrity as per guidelines. Uses downtime efficiently for unit-specific or job-related tasks, including chart auditing and cleaning. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
