Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: San Luis Obispo, CA Agency: Thrive Staffing Pay: $2,431 to $2,625 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title RN - L&D City/State: San Luis Obispo, California Shift: Days, 07:00:00-19:00:00, 12 hours, 48 per week Contract Length: 91,03/02/2026 Job Description: The RN in Labor/Delivery is responsible for collecting and analyzing patient health data to determine diagnosis and care issues, developing and implementing care plans, and coordinating care delivery to promote health and a safe environment. The RN evaluates progress and works collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure a safe and caring environment. Responsibilities: Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation. Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team. Participates in discharge planning in order to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
