Job descriptionA leading manufacturer is in search of a Quality Assurance Manager. The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for managing and directing all aspects of SQF certification, Quality, and Food Safety systems, including the Prerequisite Programs and HACCP plan.Essential Duties:Sets standards and monitors procedures to ensure food safety at all stages of operationMaintain SQF certification for two sitesConducts HACCP reviews, updates, etc.Conducts regular meetings with the HACCP team to exchange information and discuss new procedures or equipment related to food safetyDevelops, implements maintains noncompliance records proceduresReads interpret and cross-reference the accuracy of a large number of records which requires a broad and specialized knowledge of the contentCreates diverse forms to document and support HACCP systemsKeeps accurate and comprehensive records using a diverse range of documentsDevelops training and orientation materials about HACCP and related topics (GMPs, sanitation, etc.)Conducts formal and informal employee orientation and training in HACCP principles, CCPs, GMPs, etc.Prepares materials designed to assess employees' level of comprehension on food safety subjectsInteracts with suppliers to communicate company standards for the Quality and safety of incoming productsMakes formal presentations to CEO to describe HACCP system and related updatesWrites comprehensive procedures for PrerequisitePrograms the HACCP systemPractices and promote GMPs and plant safety proceduresSupports company's goals and valuesProfessionally represent the company at internal and external meetingsAssist in internal/external audits and regulatory inspections
