Job Description:
Volt is now hiring for a Service Technician for a company in
Fresno, Ca. Overtime is available! Position mounts/demounts tires;
ensures conformance to industry standards; examines and repairs
tires; performs preventative maintenance; and responds to emergency
road calls. Position also inventories and requisitions supplies;
and prepares paperwork Duties & Responsibilities:
- Change and repair medium truck, farm and small OTR tires
- Mounts and dismounts both on and off of vehicles
- Flat repairs on various size tires using TIA procedure
- Jacking up vehicles using proper TIA procedure
- Mounting wheels on vehicles using proper torqueing procedures
to ensure wheels are secure
- Maintain the overall appearance and organization of your work
area including vehicle if assigned
- Safety - tire safety is a priority as not following proper
procedures creates a hazardous situation
- Technician will use proper TIA procedures to perform tire
related procedures
- Follow TIA procedure for airing up tires
- Technician will use OSHA guidelines
- Maintain paperwork
- Write up work performed on Service Work Order
- Write up tires for retread on Retread Work Order
- Write up credit casings
- Fleet
- Provide fleet maintenance to customers as required, following
the procedures outlined for the specific customer Requirements &
Qualifications: This position requires the person to be mobile,
being able to walk on uneven ground, asphalt and concrete. Must be
able to lift 100 plus pounds. Exposure to extreme weather
conditions to include extreme heat and cold. Exposure to mechanical
parts and loud noises.
- Prior experience is a must
- At least 2 years of experience Shift: 8:00 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Monday- Friday Pay: $19-$21 DOE *Pay range offered to a successful
candidate will be based on several factors, including the
candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job
