Job Description Safety Manager \n \n The Safety Manager ensures
compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and with
company safety requirements. Responsible for continuous leadership,
recruitment, and training of operator candidates. Promotes strong
leadership and influences positive employee morale throughout the
location. This position is based in Merced County. \n \n Transdev

minimum $77,000.00 – maximum $87,500.00 \n \n\n \n Benefits

Policy. \n \n Key Responsibilities: \n \n\n \n Provides
behind-the-wheel instruction according to corporate and client
specifications in all aspects of vehicle operation and passenger
transportation, including defensive driving, service area
familiarization, passenger loading, unloading, and securement. \n
\n Conducts classroom training in accordance with corporate and
location requirements. \n \n Ensure all safety manuals, programs,
policies, and procedures are current and meet the needs of the
location. \n \n Document all training activities and ensure
accurate completion of all training-related employee records. \n \n
Establish a relationship with the client and corporate personnel to
identify additional training needs, resources, and opportunities.
\n \n Prepares and conducts monthly safety meetings. \n \n
Maintains an adequate and complete employee filing system and
participates in audits and inspections to meet client and corporate
expectations. \n \n Directs the location's drug & alcohol program
to include random drug testing and ensures all files are updated to
pass regular audits. \n \n Manages the injury prevention program to
reduce the number of workplace injuries. \n \n Conducts accident
investigation using root-cause analysis and assigns employee
re-training as required. \n \n Responsible for maintaining/posting
OSHA log. \n \n Conducts road observations to evaluate operator
safety, customer service, and systematic knowledge of the service.
\n \n Provides coaching and re-training as required on Drive Cam.
\n \n Respond to customer comments related to the service. \n \n
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
\n \n Other duties as required. \n \n Travel requirement outside of
immediate area: \n \n\n \n Qualifications: \n \n\n \n High School
Diploma or GED required \n \n Minimum of (3) years’ experience in
the passenger transportation industry. \n \n Experience in location
safety management and/or operations management. \n \n Providing
quality training, including the creation and management of training
materials. \n \n Must be able to work shifts or flexible work
schedules as needed. \n \n Subject to a DOT drug testing and
physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not
authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any
